I truly believe what you have to say in this article, Very well written. My son has epilepsy and some learning disabilities. I try everyday to make his days fun and productive at the same time. He has therapies and tutoring most of the week, which keeps his schedule full most of the time. I engage in his play whenever possible to make it fun while also teaching him life skills along the way. he sees it has play time and I see it as a chance to engage with my child as well has fit a few lessons in for him as well. We use his wooden play kitchen a lot to teach him to read recipes, measure food and create nutritional meals with the plastic pretend food. He is having fun with mom and learning at the same time.

Hello energy Hanfileti's, thanks for the information. I have enjoyed the term energy used by you with work with children, I believe this term, once understood will be a new gentle yet present approach to gain health insight where children and parents can start to understand a child within as well as a part of their environment or outside. I look forward to more, great work! DESI.K.

Dr.Pete,
The article on 'Foreshadowing for your child' is really an eye opener for most of us,especially for those who have young children. It is best to infuse into them(children) when they are very young, rather than waiting to do the same when they are older--when they have a mind set of their own. Your subject is so important, especially now that there are so many sad happenings. In terms of human relationships, love thy neighbors--irrespective of their colour, race, religion. See the amount of deaths just in the name of religion. How in some countries they have been taught to hate from a very young age. Your article is very timely,to all young parents--you (parents)have the right tool, here,to create good, loving future-good world.
Dr.Pete, you have also given examples for easy, practical understanding.I am going ahead to read your other article.
THANK YOU.

My mother and I have suffered with eczema in childhood. I still have flair ups here and there. It seems to occur when I am dehydrated. My daughter has had severe eczema for years. She has seen so many doctors and dermatologists who prescribed everything that did not work. I decided to buy aveeno and guess what? No more eczema???? Except with a flair us here and there. She suffered for 13 years.

My daughter tends to have extreme anxiety when making sure she did everything she needs for school homework. She would want to pinky promise that she did everything. As long as I pinky promised her anxiety went away.

I think doctors tend to over medicate kids now a days for anything and everything. There are so many children on drugs for how long ???? Life ?????? I don't get it. What happen to teach behaviorally to cope with day to day issues?
