Helping Promote Conscious Parenting
I came across this site called TEACH through love, an organization dedicated to helping to raise awareness of emotional harm that children can be subject to. It’s run by Lori Petro, a writer, producer, former educator, child advocate and mother of one.
In addition to articles on conscious parenting and really great resources, there is a section on baby horoscopes which may give you some insight into your child’s underlying personality characteristics.
Take a look at the site here and share your comments if you’d like.

Hi Dr Pete,
I love your sweet site I have forwarded as much of your info to my niece whom is a early childhood education student and A+ program teacher studying at the University of Hawaii. I think so many could benefit from the Chinese Medicine, parenting, and emotional insight for children perspectives. Great work, I also was an aspiring acupuncturist after 5 years of study fell ill and have had to legally switch gears to use tuning forks with the fundamentals of Chinese Medicine. Your site has inspired me to fit working with children as an important holistic niche. Again, thanks for the excellent insight and great holistic perspective on emotional health for both the inexperienced parent and growing toddler/baby. P.S. I think if my own mother had this information she would have been less of a tyrant and more loving and understanding…. Take care

Thanks for your comments, Desseree.
I think the holistic approach is rapidly becoming a necessity as we find out more about how each individual child interacts with and responds to the world and their own experiences.
If you are interested in learning more about the tuning fork method I use with the acupuncture points, here is Fabian Maman’s website which gives training seminars at various times and places which you might be interested in.

His series of books are also very good and a valuable reference to have.
I’m now 19 and experiencing being a dad. I must say although it feels good it’s still hard. I knew it wouldn’t be easy but to be honest, the hard part is having to balance time. My daughter is great and makes managing her never dreadful. -Teen dad
